Fall Visit Gelek Rimpoche

From 24 November to 5 December Gelek Rimpoche, the teacher of Jewel heart, will visit our Center in Nijmegen. This fall's program includes a public talk and a teaching retreat. Note: the program has changed!

On 24 November Rimpoche will give a public talk titled "First step to freedom". In his easy-to-understand way, Rimpoche will talk on what things we can liberate ourselves from and how to start this process.

The subject of the extensive teaching retreat on 25, 26, 27, 28 and 30 November and 3 and 4 December is the Lama Chöpa. A practice fully focused on Guru-Yoga, the dedication to the spiritual friend, teacher and mentor; the backbone of all spiritual development.

On Sunday 29 November Rimpoche will give a Black Manjushri blessing. Black Manjushri is a wrathfull manifestation of Manjushri, the Buddha of wisdom.

On Saturday 5 December there is a possibility to take refuge and take the bodhisattva vows.

Why Jewel Heart?

Jewel Heart has a wide offer of courses and groups from introductory to advanced. Most groups meet weekly or every other week. This may help us to make Buddhism a part of our daily lives.

Open Meditation Evenings

For those who are interested in meditation or who want to meditate together with others: every Friday night (holidays excluded) there is an open meditation evening in the Jewel Heart Center from 20:00 – 21:00 hrs. Doors open at 19:30 hrs. You are very welcome.

Courses

In September a number of meditation courses, the Thangka Painting course and the study and meditation course The three principles of the path of the Buddha started. Registration for these courses is closed. New courses will start early 2010.

Visit Han de Wit

On Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February 2010, Han de Wit will visit the Jewel Heart Center. He will teach on the Five Buddha Families. More information at a later date.
