Deepening Awareness
The activities aim at deepening our awareness through study and practice of Sutrayana and Vajrayana. These groups work with transcripts of teachings by Gelek Rimpoche on the subject matter involved.

Sutrayana groups include the general Lamrim study groups and the Lamrim meditation group, but also groups that study Lojong, Wisdom and the Bodhisattvacaryavatara (Way of the Bodhisattva). Other groups focus on a particular practice, such as White Tara and Ganden Lha Gyema.

Vajrayana deepening concerns study and practice of the Lama Chöpa and various sadhanas.

The various Deepening Awareness study groups are intended for students who have completed their basic training (intermediate courses). This also implies that participants have committed themselves to Buddhism by taking refuge and the Bodhisattva vows. An additional requirement for the Vajrayana study groups is in most cases that the accompanying initiation was received from Gelek Rimpoche.

The Deepening Awareness groups are an excellent opportunity for all Jewel Heart Mandala members to make a connection between your daily life and your practice. Which groups will start each year, depends on the interest of the mandala members and options are discussed with Rimpoche. The modus operandi of the groups is established by the group members.
